Tršić is a village in western Serbia, famous as a birthplace of Vuk Stefanović Karadžić (1787 – 1864), Serbian linguist and language reformer. The historical part of the village is under the protection of the state and it is the most visited open air museum in Serbia. There is a Vuk’s birth house , the museum of language and scripts, an outdoor amphitheater, House of writers and a number of building of traditional architecture. Beside its a cultural heritage, Tršić is surrounded by beautiful hills, forests, meadows and it is a place of a great, peaceful energy.
